We are a residential self-catering camp in North Otago.

Set inland from Herbert among rolling farmland, a peaceful DOC reserve, and a stone’s throw away from the Waianakarua River, Camp Iona is the perfect place to settle down and enjoy the tranquil setting and outdoors.

Founded in 1938 the camp has been a part of North Otago and its surrounding districts for over 75 years attracting thousands and children and adults alike.

Not far from Oamaru, the Camp Iona campsite sits on 2.2 hectares of land with native bush and walking tracks nearby.
